Working with the Welsh Assembly
When it was established in 1999 the Assembly had no powers to create primary legislation. However, following the Government of Wales Act it is now able to create its own laws in key areas that were barred to it in the past. As a result Wales is now subject to a new legislative framework, one that is driven from Cardiff Bay. With these new responsibilities in the Senedd comes the need for a more professional approach to public policy provision in Wales.
